Smoke Out Hunger

Smoke Out Hunger is a Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned competition to benefit Cross-Lines Community Outreach, an agency serving the hungry and homeless of Wyandotte County. Whether you are looking for a few bites of deliciousness or competing with a team, you can play a part to help feed families and raise funds for Cross-Lines hunger relief programs!


Join us for The Barn Party on

Friday, June 9 from 6-10pm! 

Enjoy an evening of BBQ and fun, with local live music by Crystal Rose, Jessica Paige and IVØRY BLACK!  The Barn Party is the kick-off to our Smoke Out Hunger BBQ Competition weekend, where you can enjoy a BBQ meal, participate in our People's Choice Award Contest by sampling and voting on chicken wings prepared by participating teams, and watch competing teams prepare their creations for the judges to sample on Saturday. Adult tickets are $20 and include pulled pork sandwich, sides and a beverage (excluding premium beer) and $10 child ticket (children under 6 are free) includes a hot dog, chips and non-alcoholic beverage.  Additional soft drinks and beer are available for purchase - cash only!
