An Exciting School Year Will Soon Begin! We're definitely into the summer months and that means the school year will be starting soon. It's an exciting time for many students but an anxiety filled time for our parents. It means paying less on a bill or cutting back on groceries to try and have a little extra money to purchase SOME of their children's school supplies. You can make a difference and help lessen parents' anxiety by donating supplies. Please consider sponsoring a drive. |

Round it Up America Here's a unique opportunity to donate your "change" and make a difference. According to Terence Close's February 3, 2010 article in THE COAST MAGAZINE, "Round it Up America is a simple concept: Round up your restaurant check to the nearest dollar; the change gets donated to a local charity; you make a difference." Yard House Restaurants are the only restaurants currently participating in this unique program and there is one located at The Legends. Yard House Restaurants CEO, Harald Hermann and VP of Marketing, Jennifer Weerheim, conceived the idea. "We had a lot of people tell us, 'That's a cute idea but it'll never work,' says Hermann. We proved them wrong!" Cross-Lines Community Outreach, Inc. has been selected as one of the KS charities that will receive a percentage of the donations. Here's what you need to do: Visit a Yard House Restaurant. When you receive your bill, there will be a line that says "Round Up for Charity." For example, if your bill is $10.35, you may write .65 on that line so that you've "rounded up" to the nearest dollar. You then add the tip and you now have a new total. Your individual donation (.65) amount may seem small but the collective total is monumental. For more information about this program, please visit www.rounditupamerica.org We hope many of you will participate with Yard House Restaurants to help make a difference to Cross-Lines Community Outreach, Inc.! |
